Deal restores in-network access to Methodist facilities
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has reached an agreement for a multi-year deal with Methodist Le Bonheur health system that restores in-network access to care for those who have coverage through an employer or through an individual plan.
The new agreement covers all Methodist Le Bonheur facilities, and BlueCross has begun alerting brokers, employer groups and members of this development.
“We appreciate the patience and support of our members and group customers as we worked to reach a deal with Methodist that lowers health care prices for our fellow Memphians,” said Kevin Woods, Memphis market president for BlueCross. “This disruption was unfortunate but necessary in order to bring meaningful savings to our members in the form of lower premiums.”
“We also want to thank the rest of the health care community in Memphis, especially our provider partners at Baptist Memorial Health Care, for their ongoing efforts to provide care to our members.”
Members will once again be able to get care at these Methodist Le Bonheur facilities at affordable, in-network rates:
